He sold a house for us after a death in our family and our side of things could be described no other way than shenanigans. We took some time to decide if we wanted to keep the house in the family or to sell it, and in that short time, my sister made many baffling changes that needed to be fixed by my mom and me before we could list the property. Dan had far more patience during that process than I did or that I could have asked for. It was a really difficult and frustrating time, but Dan's attitude and the way he talked made me feel taken care of. He gave us a clear list of things we needed to do and understood that it was a difficult and frustrating time. Years later, when I started thinking of buying a house, Dan was the first person I thought of. And when I found a house that I loved scrolling Zillow, he was the person I texted. It was my first home buying experience and I knew there were a lot of things that I didn't know, so I asked him to look at properties with his realtor eyes and his dad eyes. I literally would not have been able to buy my house without his help. He looked at properties through the lense of someone with real estate knowledge and experience, and through the lense of someone with life experience, so I had the confidence that I was making good decisions financially and in terms of my ability to live comfortably and safely in an area. He kept the house search in the parameters I gave him and always gave me his honest opinion when I had questions, but he never tried to make decisions for me or push me in a particular direction. That was a crucial part of the home buying experience because the opinionated adult in my life did the opposite of that. Without Dan, the house hunting process would have been too stressful and overwhelming to see through to homeownership, but we closed on a house about two months after we started looking. Dan thoroughly explained paperwork, procedures, etc., but he talked to me like we were both humans having a conversation. This is the biggest decision I've made in my life so far, and I would not have felt nearly secure enough making it if my agent had been a sales robot. Dan talked to me about numbers and negotiations, but he also looked for things that would make a house feel like a home to me specifically. His recommendations for inspectors and brokers were also excellent. Every person I talked to as a recommendation from Dan was a human person that wanted to see me in a home and situation that was right for me. Every part of the process that Dan affected from start to finish was exactly what I needed as a first time homebuyer. Through each transaction, he has done an excellent job. He was able to help us sell our houses quickly and at a reasonable price. When purchasing a house, he helped us negotiate with the sellers. He understood very well that we are busy with our children, so when papers needed to be signed, he would come over to our house when it was convenient for us, and help us sign papers. He even picked a title officer that was nearby, so we wouldn't have to drive across Fresno. Two years after we moved from Fresno to Green Bay, he helped us sell our house in Clovis.
